No other equine breed in America starts 17-18 month old “BABY HORSES” under saddle, AND then rides them with large STACK SHOES with CHAINS which HIT often SORED sensitive skin above their front hooves to see if the “BABIES” will perform the “Big Lick” gait. The black mare – “The Queen Of The South” with Trainer BOYZ Clay Sanderson, up for Shane Porterfield, owner, is 23 months old.

To their credit, Southerners under the banner “WE, The People” – Citizens Campaign Agaisnt “Big Lick” Animal Cruelty have protested this “animal abuse, and have now reduced it down to where it is holed on private proeprty at the Tennessee Walking Horse Natioanl Celebration at Shelbyville (Bedford County) Tennessee.

And local people are silently BOYCOTTING the “Big Lick” horse shows.

Native Tennesseean MTSU Horse Science Professor equine vet Dr. John Haffner says the “Big Lick” is Animal Cruelty – “a pain induced gait – a business built on the suffering and pain of horses”.

Please support the grassroots “WE, The People” – Citizens Campaign Against “Big Lick” Animal Cruelty to END this abject horror to BABY HORSES by Donating (whatever you can afford).
